About me

I work full time and am studying a part time Foundation in Drawing course with the Open College of the Arts. If it goes well, I hope to progress onto an art degree and then who knows! I am deeply thankful to my sculptor and prop-maker husband, the wizard behind Mind Magic Studios, and to the wonderful artist and tutor Nelson Ferriera for their encouragement with my enrollment.

My current mediums of choice are pencil and pastel. I particularly enjoy surrealist art such as Leonor Fini, Leonora Carrington  and Odilon Redon.

In 2016 I set up a staff art club at my workplace. I co-host weekly drop-in sessions which all artists and crafters are welcome to attend. We also organise short lunchtime art courses which  my employer kindly subsidises. This is supporting a growing community of artists at work which I am finding very rewarding and enjoyable to be part of.
